      How do I create a MetaMask wallet?

      A short guide on installing MetaMask as a browser extension, and the initial wallet setup.

      Getting started is easy

      • Download and install the MetaMask browser extension from the MetaMask website.

      • Select “Create a Wallet.”

      • Create a username and password.

      • Record your uniquely assigned Secret Recovery Phrase. 

        The secret recovery phrase is the only method of recovery. Losing or forgetting this phrase means you cannot recover the wallet if necessary!

      • The next step will ask you to confirm the phrase by placing all of the words in the assigned order.

      • MetaMask should now be set up and will appear in your browser extensions.

      • If you have any trouble, visit MetaMask Support.
